Galileos and Einsteins, please do the "Understanding Energy" worksheet from the Energy folder over the weekend.  Remember to turn it into your Drive folder when you are done.

First Day of Quarter Three

Physics- all sections:   Please complete the calculations and questions for the Horsepower Lab.  All sections' data tables are posted in the Energy folder in the Shared Docs folder.

**If** school is canceled more than one day please finish the Work and Power practice (also in the Energy folder).


REMINDER that Drive isn't always finding all the documents that well- if you can't find the Energy folder or a document there try searching by name: HP lab Galileos/HP lab Newtons/HP lab Einsteins.

Momentum Study Guide Info

To qualify for momentum test corrections, your completed study guide MUST be turned into your Drive folder by 2:30 today (Thursday afternoon).  I will be putting the answer key in the shared folder at 2:30.

Momentum- quiz update

HW due Thursday is practice, "Cons mom probs" (conservation of momentum problems).  I also recommend starting the Momentum Study Guide.

UPDATE: The momentum quiz is going to be moved up a day so we can have two days of exam review.  Galileos and Einsteins will take the quiz Friday; Newtons will take it Monday.

First Day Back

Welcome back, everyone!  I hope you all had a restful break.

I did a lot of grading over break.  All assignments through December are in Aspen.  If you have NTI (not turned in) for an assignment, check the following:

• Did you do it in Notability, but forget to turn it in to Drive?
• Did you turn in as a PDF?  I can't open other formats.  Go back to Notability, choose PDF when you send it to Drive.
• Did you not do it....?  Find the assignment in Drive, complete and turn in ASAP.

Homework tonight: MCAS momentum problem, found in the Momentum folder.  Complete and turn in to Drive.  Make sure today's Conservation of Momentum Activity is turned in as well (the in-class assignment).

ALMOST FORGOT: Test corrections are due as well.  If you got below 51/68 AND you completed your study guide before the test you can do corrections (you will have a green R on your test). Correct MC questions and write one sentence explaining the correct answer.  Redo any open response  that were incorrect.  Turn in before the end of the quarter (next Thursday).

Reminder that there will be a quiz on Momentum on Tuesday January 14th.  This will cover momentum and impulse (from before break) and conservation of momentum.
